The Secret Life of Jonny (aka: Jon Hakun, Jonathan Hakun, Jonny Hakun, Jonny-Paws, Jonnyhaku)
A Neuroscience research technician at The University of Pennsylvania, Jon is first and foremost, a geek. Sometimes referred to as "the bass player" or "the thinker," now tantalized for being "the front-man," Jon like the other members of 39 Mariner, looks at the band as release from an otherwise very busy and stressful work-week. Jon's day-job at the Treatment Research Center employs him to scan people's brains, mining the final-frontier of man's existance. The evening 'job' (39M) employs him to help melt people's brains with alcohol. Life's all about balance, right?!

Jon's Favorite Things To Do
In his spare time Jon has lots of projects. He's rebuilding an old Jeep CJ-7 with 39M
camera-man Pat Kelly. He's practicing the art of making his own beer and fruit liqueurs. Jon spends a lot of time song-writing, you can find a few of his songs on his myspace page. He really likes to BBQ and Smoke Ribs. Though not quite as creative as rhythm guitar player Reno, he loves to fix things, be it cars, broken guitars, or music gear. You can't keep Jon from a Phillies Game all summer, and can't peel him away from a television during Football season (go Eagles!).

Jon's Indulgences
Jon really enjoys red wine (though white wine is growing on him), great beer, and liqueurs. He's an amateur gourmet at heart (just ask any other member of 39M about his 'unique' pallate). If ever in AC for a gig, he sometimes needs to be lassoed in off of a blackjack table to start the show. Thursday is the new Friday in Jon's book, weekends start a day early. And lastly, Saturday and Sunday are for eating: Sushi Bars, Steakhouses, Chinese Buffets, Italian Restaurants, and Burger-joints BEWARE!
